What is the Puente Y Ganas Awards?
The Puente & Ganas Awards Dinner is an inspiring event that honors and recognizes the service of Sonoma County individuals and organizations who have demonstrated consistent effort to engage, empower and elevate our Latinx community. Recipients will be presented with their awards at the dinner on June 22, 2024.
Our 2023 P & G Awards Dinner was a sold-out celebration that hosted over 450 people to recognize and honor individuals and organizations' hard work and dedication to elevating our Latinx community. With the support of generous donors and sponsors, we raised over $50,000 to help establish our Access Ticket fund, designed to create access and get more youth, students, and community members to our programs and events throughout the year.
What is the Jardin del Vino (aka wine garden)?
The Jardin del Vino, is a community market vibe but with a huge Latinx infusion of awesome flavor, music and wine. This year we confirmed Los Alegres Callejeros because y'all asked for them to come back. Los Alegres Callejeros will be playing live Columbian cumbias while you and your friends can taste Latino-owned wines (included in your ticket or sponsorship entry) while you shop local Latinx-owned artisan businesses who will be selling their Latino inspired handmade arts and crafts. The Jardin del Vino will start at 3pm and end at 5:30pm -- this way our guests can make their way under the tent for the big awards dinner.
What can I expect during the awards dinner?
The dinner starts at 6pm, and will feature our fan favorite Diaz brothers Oaxacan style gourmet family meal! There will be a Fund-A-Ganas segment, then we will get down to the best part of the evening, the awards ceremony. Here is where will award three awards:
